What Are Modern Apprenticeships?
Modern Apprenticeships give anyone over the age of 16 in Scotland the opportunity to gain experience in a paid role whilst also earning a recognised qualification.
First developed in 1994, Modern Apprenticeships have helped to build a robust training system in Scotland, which has, in turn, helped to create a skilled workforce. The Modern Apprenticeship frameworks are developed by employers, employer groups, and stakeholders involved in the delivery of each role. This hands-on development ensures that Modern Apprentices learn the skills, knowledge, and competencies directly relevant to their industry.
Modern Apprenticeships Library
Instructus Skills is the authorising body for multiple Modern Apprenticeship frameworks. These frameworks set out the skills and competencies of each apprenticeship, providing an outline view of the behaviours expected of a fully trained apprentice.
We frequently review these frameworks to ensure that they remain suitable for the roles and sectors in which they are deployed.
If you have any questions regarding these Modern Apprenticeship frameworks, please contact us.
